Like it or not, special events are the lifeblood of nonprofits. In the perfect world, corporate sponsors contribute funds to cover the event expenses so that donor dollars can go directly to the organization's mission.  Differentiating yourself in a saturated event market -- the Greater Syracuse area hosts nearly two dozen charity walk-a-thons between Labor Day and Columbus Day -- requires an approach that appeals to the heart (and wallets) of a corporation.

It has been my pleasure to work with highly-talented fundraisers and event planners over the years, but even the best of the best need solid peripherals to leave behind at their visit.
